Deviation Actions
I Read a few more, so here's the next batch (could contain spoilers):
Foodcourt
For a first time comic maker, the storytelling is pretty good! I think he followed Elbert's advice quite well and came up with a very simple but well told story. I just didn't expect the ending and it kinda left me hanging. But overall, it's one of the nicest indies I've read so far in this batch.
Kapitan Tog 2
I wuv the cover..rubrub...Eherm. It's always a challenge to make wordless comics. Tog's antics are always funny, and I like that Freely's experimenting a lot with comic layouts. Minsan nga lang nalilito ako since medyo ahead yung panels dun sa actual action, pero nagegets ko naman after seeing the whole page.
*rubs cover*
Wall Push -- Pingpon-G
I like the idea. Konti lang kasi gumagawa ng sport themed comics (kasama na yung Patintero). Bitin nga lang kasi kung kelan introduced na yung skill nung character, abrupt yung chapter end.
Alitaptap Comics -- Earthborne Ch. 0
Aswang Cleanup group is what I'm getting as the general concept. I thinks it's a teaser for the actual story, more like 5 mins in an episode. so it is an UBER teaser.
Angel's Grave
The concept is very similar to previous indie titles I've read. I like the visual storytelling though, but I wish there was more buildup for the characters or at least their relationship for that punch in the ending.
Midnight Wing
A highschool girl with a dark past and a special skill. I like the layouts for this comic (manga style), and I think the panels and the shots were well thought of.
Enzo Vega -- House Fly
I think the story went a little too fast for me. Being pulled out of a normal life and joining in that fast (even at gunpoint) is a little too abrupt an introduction. Feels a little Hollywoodish in story telling. Could've saved the last part for issue 2.
Strade re:route
Although the comic and it's characters are really cute, the story left a me a little lost in their world. It's probably set somewhere in the middle of another story....That's probably what I'm missing...
Hyper Comics -- Sovereignity
Vampires and Lycans. There was very little introduction to the main characters, and it dropped me in the middle of a fight I'm not sure I understand. So yeah I'm quite lost... ^_^;;;
Hyper Comics -- Nostel Autumn Leaf Chronicles
The is about the fall of a kingdom...well that's the start. I appreciate the introduction/history. The last part, however, left me confused since they showed a couple of unknown characters at the end of the issue. Was the victim the same person the Queen was talking about? *headscratch*
Hyper Comics -- (Spoiler of) ADAM
The cat is soo cute~! But the comic is too short for me to have any opinion on it...the art is quite nice. :3
Jonas -- Bulas
The good thing: I like the comic style. The not so good thing: The double narration made the story confusing. I only got to find out who was making the commentary at the end of the comic. The comic format also made the action shots a bit too tight, but maybe that's just me nitpicking...
James Paolo Pineda Palabon -- Black Ninja
We really like the concept on this one. We also like the Studio 4c-style looking art. We liked the punny names, and we like to see the 2nd issue made next.
Okay, that's a handful...
Next batch next post...

Indie Thang...I should put a number here...
This is a not-so-review/bullet reviews of the indies we acquired from the past two Kons. May contain spoilers.
~Ugly-Ink (https://www.deviantart.com/ugly-ink) Shinkei Hanketsu #1-2
I like the printing quality of this title...it's really sharp.
Shinkei Hanketsu has a really interesting premise. You have a gangster type of guy who will pay for his past sins via an
interesting punishment. It has a lot of potential.
As for the pace, it's a little too fast for me. It was so fast, that the part where Yakusubi took over the old man's body didn't quite work for me. I know he will be empathic during the "possession phase", BUT I think he needed to know the old man a little
Just dropped by...
Hi guys! I know I haven't been uploading stuff here...sorry about that... ^_^;
BUT that doesn't mean Cresci Prophecies is on hold! I recently finished the inks for chapter 26 (2nd chapter) of Vol. 4., and I'm currently working on the letters.
I'm also planning to make another round of Indie Thang soon.
Now having said that, I won't be able to attend the November Komikon, and I won't be able to make copies of Vol. 1... :(
I'll be having a 2-3 month hiatus from comic production, because...I'm preparing to be a Mom (ultra nervous right now)... ^_^;
I know the baby and comic production sked is gonna drive me nuts, but I'll try my best to r
Indie Thang: Mixed stash (last batch)
This is a not so review/bullet reviews of the indies I got over the last few cons. This is the last batch I got from SummerKon.
May contain spoilers...
~TyrfryT (https://www.deviantart.com/tyrfryt) Ink Jinks -- Horror Asylum #1-2
Pacing is good. Naaalala ko yung mga wakasan komiks. I like the gritty art. However, the stories in issues 1-2 feels the same. Different situation, but almost the same story. Probably because of GIRLS, and the setting. I even wondered if they were connected...but H.A. is probably composed of stand alone stories. I could be wrong... But generally I liked it. :)

I like the silent panels,
Indie Thang: Mixed stash (part 9)
This is a not-so-review/bullet reviews of the indies I got during the past Kon. This batch came from Summer Komikon 2012.
May contain spoilers…
Studio 4 Eyes ~suoh12 (https://www.deviantart.com/suoh12):iconpandaandpotato: -- I Han it for Love #1-2
Pacing and story is pretty good. Lots of funny moments too!
When I read the first issue, I never expected the story to turn a different way in the 2nd issue. The first chapter hooked me, but the 2nd one intrigued me a lot. Looking forward to the 3rd installment! :3
Studio 4 Eyes/Gervi – Team Gemini #1
The script and pacing is okay… I just had a bit of trouble following what was happening in the action scenes.
