8" x 5" colored pencils (FaberCAstell polychromos + Derwent Artist for skin tones) 5B/7B graphite pencils 2B mech pencil on Berkeley charcoal paper
Study for april...
I was planning to color some of the parts of the pieces I'm about to do later... I like the combo...
But charcoal paper is too rough for colored pencils (good for big pieces, but not good on detail work)... I don't like building up too many layers just to smoothen the surface....
But, the paper goes great with graphite (it's available in NBS...pretty affordable too)... So the final pieces would most probably be all graphite...
Man I miss all my pencils...I had to sharpen them to lose the crusted layer on top... >_< *I love you my pretties..I'm sorry for neglecting you for too long*
love your tools... *_* ... traditional coloring tools I mean...
I probably won't upload the final pieces here, since I might Include these in Cresci book 3...
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
